Emily grew up skiing in Australia, and learning to ski amongst the snow gums and wombats is one of her favourite childhood memories.

Now, she travels to ski resorts around the world whenever possible, ticking them off one by one, taking in the unique experiences and food, wine and culture at each destination.  When she’s not making turns on her favourite snowboard, Emily loves the sound of fresh snow compacting underfoot, the fresh mountain air and stopping mid-mountain to take in the views.

MARNI SHAW

Groups Travel Specialist

Joining Sno’n’Ski in 2022, I finally landed the ‘Powder Day’ equivalent of jobs where I can combine my love of ski travel with a background in sales, marketing, design, events, and partnerships.

I caught the ski bug on a childhood snow holiday, followed that up with a high school ski trip and then grabbed any opportunity to have a winter vacation over the following decades. I’ve been lucky to experience more than 15 alpine resorts across Australia, NZ, Japan, Canada, the USA, France and Spain. There are so many more on my ‘To Do’ list and I’m all ears when someone has a new suggestion.

My true passion is introducing new people to the snow. Over the years, I’ve encouraged countless friends, family, colleagues, community members, and even total strangers to the concept that there is “no better holiday than a ski holiday!” It brings me so much joy to see the smiles on their faces when they catch their first snowflake, snowplough down their first green run, and progress through to steeper terrain. Snow is meant to be shared, and the more people I can share it with, the better.

My Tip: You can never have too many ski jackets!

ASHLEIGH BAILEY

Groups Travel Specialist

With over 8 years’ experience in the travel industry, Ashleigh developed a love and passion for the cold, snow and skiing after attending a school ski trip to Mt Hotham and more recently chased the Northern Lights through Norway. Ashleigh loves helping people plan their next big adventure whether that be to one of Australia’s beautiful mountains or as far abroad as the stunning slopes in Canada.

Looking forward to visiting as many slopes as possible Ashleigh is excited to bring her expertise to the Sno‘n’Ski family and assist others in ticking off their own bucket list items!

Growing up in the lower mountain range in Germany, I was put on skis by my parents when I was only little older than a toddler, I couldn't help but to fall in love with winter sports from a young age. Later, riding snowboard from the teenage years on, I could explore the best of both worlds. Living in Europe until last year, I feel lucky to have shredded and explored numerous resorts in Austria, Switzerland, France and Italy with an extra taste of riding in Norway and Iceland. While spending two years in Australia and New Zealand, I certainly did not miss out on testing the pistes around Queenstown. My newest addiction is snowkiting, combining two sports that are already exciting on their own. Stoked to have joined the team to get you equally thrilled about winter sport as I am.

My Tip: A hot Germknödel (yeast dumpling filled with plum sauce) with vanilla sauce and a cold Almdudler completes your day when at the slopes in the European Alps.
